We offer some classes outside of these times, which are indicated on the individual class pages.
Rental Model
Our rental bookings guarantee you access to a specific machine or group of machines, for a specific duration of time. This way, there should be no surprises when you arrive for your booking, and there is no need to wait around for access to the machines you need.
All rentals come with access to a small work table (24x30"). There is also a 4 x 8ft cutting table in the space, which can be rented by the hour in combination with machinery, or on its own.
FAQ
What is your Refund Policy?
Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours in advance of a rental booking for a full refund. Cancellations after this period will forfeit the booking deposit, but will have a 100% refund of the Damage Deposit.
Are needles and thread provided?
We have a limited number of needle sizes, and thread weights and colours. For best results it is recommended that you bring your own. Needle system and thread details can be found on each of the product pages.
Do you offer storage?
We plan to offer storage options starting in September.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, but they will need to sign our Liability Waiver and receive instruction before using any machinery or tools.
Will my rental give me private access to the studio?
No, rentals are not private. For private access and to book the full studio, email us at cuttwicestudio@gmail.com.
Does your building have bathrooms?
Yes, there are bathrooms on the ground floor and second floor.
Are food and drinks allowed?
Drinks are allowed in the studio, but please keep food to common areas outside of the workroom.
Is your building accessible?
Our studio is located on the second floor of a heritage building with stair-only access. Due to provincial safety regulations, the building's elevator is strictly rated for freight and cannot transport passengers. Because our industrial equipment cannot be moved off-site, the physical space is not accessible to individuals who cannot climb stairs. We are happy to accommodate support persons at no additional fee and offer digital training options. Please contact us at cuttwicestudio@gmail.com to discuss your needs.
